The Dorset County Kitchen came to life at the end of 2020 in the middle of the pandemic. After over 30 years in the catering industry, Matt, like many others in the hospitality industry was unfortunately made redundant. This led to him think about what might work as a small business that he could get up and running pretty quickly with very little outlay. Before he knew it he was supplying and delivering handmade pies in lockdown to lots of lovely families around Dorset. As luck would have it, a fabulous production kitchen came available at Luccombe Farm near Milton Abbas, which was perfect timing!
As well as delivering to homes we now supply to a variety of businesses including farm shops and cafes. Matt is passionate about using traditional methods which means anything he produces has that old fashioned style of cooking which is hard to find in our supermarkets. He always uses quality ingredients and likes to source local produce where possible. Moving forward, TDCK will continue to increase its range of quality products. We also hope in the very near future to be doing a few local markets so we might even see you there too!
